Service providers today have a complex, interdependent suite of siloed OSS/BSS applications regardless of their network services and business focus. Any single customer or service or network asset is affected by the complex dependencies of multiple systems: operators struggle to 'see the services in the data'.

As a direct result of this situation, operators are unable to improve their customer management or service management processes - this is directly responsible for OPEX in the communications industry being twice the average of other industries.

These siloed systems have been implemented over many years to serve disparate range of diverse networks, services and markets. They include best of breed COTS applications, legacy apps, home-grown apps.  With complex integrations and interdependencies, they are difficult to manage and near impossible to 'turn off'.

The heart of the problem is "dirty data" in the OSS/BSS systems - poor data quality, poor data integrity and poor data alignment significantly reduce the ability to manage services, customer and networks.  An end-to-end view of customers, services and network and their interrelationships is inaccurate or impossible to achieve.

Attempts to resolve this situation have included complex and expensive integration projects, manual interventions. Ironically, many  BSS/OSS systems are 'patches' to work around this core problem

The impact on the business is clear: high OPEX, high CAPEX, low ARPU and margins, reduced profitability, high customer churn and high penalties for contract violations to mention just a few!

Ontology Systems' OSS/CAD has cracked the problem of dynamically aligning this "dirty data" in the  OSS/BSS silos with a new approach applying ontologies and semantics to reinterpret business, operational and infrastructural data as a single virtual Unified Service Model.

As the first commercials semantics and ontologies COTS application, and deployed in just several weeks then  running continuously to spot new leaks, OSS/CAD combines existing raw OSS/BSS data and operator knowledge to create and maintain a virtual unified model

During this webinar you will learn how OSS/CAD can help you to:

  • Stop Revenue Leakages
  • Prevent Fraud
  • Improve Service Management
  • Analyse Service Impact and Fault Prioritization
  • Prevent SLA violations
  • Discover Stranded Assets
  • Improve Change Management and Customer Notification
  • Prevent Problematic Migrations and Transformations
  • Enable a Unified Topology and Inventory Views
